Over the last 2 years, I am proud to say I have lost over 40 pounds on the WW plan. While overall the WW plan (previously Weight Watchers) is fairly straightforward, I have found a few items that make the journey more fun. These 9 amazing products made my weight loss journey easy and exciting.
9 Products for Weight Loss
When you’re losing weight, it can be hard to feel cute. Old clothes may no longer fit, but you’re not at a goal weight yet so you don’t want to go all in on a new wardrobe – I get it.
That’s where the magic or leggings or jeggings come in. The thing that makes leggings so special is the elasticized waistband. You can typically wear leggings during a weight loss transformation because they already have some stretch, give and body hugging components.
As a bonus, many legging styles contain compression to help hold in the tummy and boost the booty.
Feeling put together by wearing flattering clothes can help keep you motivated on your WW journey.
2 Body Fat Scale
In the beginning stages of weight loss, watching that number on the scale drop can be one of the most exciting things. But as you get closer and closer to your goal, tracking other stats can help keep you feeling inspired.
A body fat scale can give you another item to track, plus may just motivate you to work your strength training or other ways to improve your fat/muscle ratio.
3 Powdered Cheese
I love cheese. I often saved points up just so I could use real cheese on my tacos or cheeseburgers. I’ve never been a fan of low fat or no-fat cheese options.
Until I heard about this amazing and delicious cheese powder. This stuff works as a popcorn topping, dip component, stirred into nonfat Greek yogurt, and my favorite way is stirred into pasta. It’s like the mac and cheese powder from the blue box, but with fewer points.
I don’t use this poweder to totally replace my love of cheese, however. I instead use it when I want to cheesy fix but don’t want to blow all my points because I know I am going to have the really stuff at dinner.
4 Powdered Peanut Butter
While we’re on the topic of powdered things, I am a convert to powdered peanut butter. Pre-WW days I would eat regular peanut butter by the spoonful. Once I started tracking my WW points, I was shocked to see how much fat regular peanut butter contains.
Powdered peanut butter satisfies that somewhat-sweet and creamy craving without blowing all the points. Most varieties of powdered peanut butter are 1 point for 2 tablespoons worth. So much better than the stuff!
I spread it on my morning waffles, eat it with bananas and drizzle it over ice cream. There are a ton of recipes on Pinterest using powdered peanut butter – take a look and I’m sure you’ll be surprised how many great ways you can use this amazing powder.
5 Kodiak Cakes Mix
Yet another dry goods ingredient that made my WW weight loss easier was Kodiak Cakes pancake mix. Funny, I’ve never actually used the mix to make pancakes, however.
Just like the powdered peanut butter, you’ll find so many amazing recipes on Pinterest using this boxed mix. I’ve made some awesome muffins, brownies, mug cakes and more.
The high protein and low fat content of this mix keeps the points low compared to other prepared mixes.
6 Instant Pot Hardboiled Egg Insert
Eggs are like a WW unicorn – zero points and can be used in so many ways. I love to keep harboiled eggs on hand to eat as a snack or as part of my breakfast.
And I love making my hardboilded eggs in my Instant Pot. The only problem is my egg insert only has room for 7 eggs. If I want to make a full dozen hardboiled eggs, it takes 2 batches. Not only is that a waste of time, it’s also a waste of energy.
Luckily, Amazon has an Instant Pot hardboiled egg stackable insert that lets you do up to 14 eggs at once. Nice!
7 Lunch or Snack Cooler Bag
Getting hungry when you’re on the go or at work can be a recipe for vending machine or drive thru disaster. Be prepared when the tummy grumbles hit with your lunch or some snacks kept in a pretty cooler bag.
In addition to the hardboiled eggs, my go to snacks are fruit, Oikos triple zero Greek yogurt, Poppable chips and Good Thins crackers.
8 Water Bottle
Staying hydrated is a great way to prevent snacking as it keeps you feeling full. Keep track of your water intake while keeping it cold in a pretty water bottle. A great water bottle is also imperative when you’re exercising to get those activity points.
9 Activity Tracker
And finally, speaking of activity, an activity tracker will motivate you to get moving.
While Fitbit and Apple Watch are well known activity trackers, there are plenty of other starter options on Amazon to see if you like the accountability. (this one gets great ratings and a great price)
Many activity trackers also help you make sure you are getting enough sleep, which is an often overlooked component to weight loss.
These 9 items made my 40 pound weight loss via WW more fun and easy. Do you have any items that are your must haves for losing weight?
